Confira agora na íntegra dois demos do álbum Shine de Cyndi Lauper

Entre 2001 e 2005, Cyndi Lauper apresentou ao vivo diversas canções que fariam parte de uma reedição planejada para o álbum Shine um projeto que, infelizmente, nunca chegou a acontecer da forma pretendida. Agora, dois desses raros demos podem ser ouvidos na íntegra: "Still With Me" e "Edge of the Earth".

A história de Shine é marcada por imprevistos. O lançamento original estava agendado para 11 de setembro de 2001, mas, após os atentados daquele dia, o disco foi adiado. Pouco depois, a gravadora Edel Records encerrou suas atividades, e demos de várias faixas acabaram vazando na internet. Diante disso, Lauper optou por engavetar o projeto. A versão completa só chegou oficialmente ao mercado japonês em 2004.

Durante essa “segunda rodada” de composições para a nova edição do álbum, Lauper escreveu várias músicas inéditas, como "It’s a Beautiful Thing", "The Other Side of Here", e as duas que você confere aqui. "Still With Me", foi apresentada ao vivo pela primeira vez em 14 de junho de 2002, é uma balada intensa e emotiva, nunca lançada oficialmente. Já "Edge of the Earth" estreou nos palcos em 27 de dezembro de 2001, trazendo um clima etéreo e melódico que cativou os fãs.

Ambas as gravações foram remasterizadas artesanalmente pelo canal do Youtube @Turmeric82 a partir de registros disponíveis, preservando ao máximo a qualidade e a essência originais dessas raridades.
